One of the last remaining and undeveloped lots in Edina’s Indian hills area, because of its difficult terrain, is the site for this new custom designed home. Graciously sited and designed to organically integrate with its wooded hilly site. There was also the client's wish for the architecture bring about a creative balance between the traditional exterior and open floor plan with airy contemporary interior creates a unique sense of modern living in a traditional environment.

Designed as a single story living concept, it includes a small second floor area for additional guest space, as well as to provide the intended exterior massing and architectural interest.

The dramatic curvilinear great room space with circular stair at its center is the inviting nucleolus that connects the public spaces together.

Graceful arches that visually define the various spaces maintain the sense of connection and openness while allow the distribution of the natural light throughout the home.

Lower level provides additional space for casual entertaining, while the dramatic screen porch designed with privacy in mind provides a great outdoor retreat.
